Mathematical Skills

Our mathematics curriculum creates mathematically literate citizens with the knowledge to succeed in life. Students learn to be resilient, to be efficient and to persevere. Students become equipped with the essential skills to understand the world around them, with mathematical skills for future learning and employment. They develop critical thinking through problem solving activities that encourage exploration and embrace ‘wrong turns’ as valuable learning steps. We believe everyone can excel in mathematics. The Delta mathematics curriculum seamlessly progresses from Key Stage 2, building a strong foundation for further education and future careers. We utilise the Sparx online platform to solidify learning and propel students towards mastery. We offer exciting extracurricular activities like enrichment trips and the United Kingdom Mathematical Challenges. High performing students can even pursue the Further Mathematics GCSE qualification.

Trust-wide Events

Events like the Year 11 Enigma Masterclass push boundaries with fun, maths-filled activities.
Students participate in relays, quizzes, and workshops on calculator tips, formula sheet usage,
and mastering those maffles and triangles!
