Assemblies
At Filey School we take great pride in delivering school assemblies which are linked to our school vision and values.
Assemblies are hosted as year groups and are delivered either by school staff or guest speakers from the local community. We feel this is a vital opportunity for students to become more aware of what it may mean for them as individuals or as a school for us to be ‘community centred’. Examples of this include assemblies by Haven focused on the local labour market, introductions to Higher Education by York St John University and Coventry University Scarborough, as well as sharing the work of local community organisations such as Filey Lions and Filey Food Bank.
