Home School Agreement
This document expresses the willingness of all parties concerned with Lady Lumley’s school to work together to achieve the best education for every student.
The role of the school is:
- To have high expectations of all students; encourage and challenge to ensure all students are being their best and achieving their potential.
- To provide a broad and balanced curriculum with high quality teaching and learning
- To be consistent and fair in matters of discipline whilst recognising the need to provide equality of opportunity and being aware of students’ individual circumstances.
- To encourage parents to be actively involved in their child’s education. Keeping families informed through My Child at School notifications, newsletters, Parent Students Teacher Consultation Evenings, Supporting Success Evenings and reports
- To follow the Positive Behaviour Policy
The role of parents is:
- To support the school’s policies.
- To ensure students attends school, is punctual and properly equipped. Contacting the school attendance team on each day of absence.
- To inform the school about changes to contact details and family circumstances.
- Support student progress by attending Parent Student Teacher Consultation Evenings, Supporting Success Evenings and contacting the school when concerns arise.
- To follow the Positive Behaviour Policy
The role of students is:
- To enjoy being at school and allow others to enjoy it too.
- To be responsible for their own learning, complete all learning and actively ensure any missed learning is completed.
- To bring all the equipment needed every day and wear the school uniform correctly and with pride.
- To ensure mobile phones are not seen or used on the school site.
- To not engage in any malicious communications on social media that could upset or cause offence to any members of staff, students, parents and carers or any member of the school community.
