GETTING HERE
We are on a brand new multi-million pound site in Scarborough, with easy transport links.
Scarborough UTC has its own fleet of mini-buses, as well as working closely with East Yorkshire Buses, to provide morning and evening transport for students travelling from further afield. Buses run Monday to Friday during term time, arriving at college for 08:40 and departing at 16:00 (1.30 pm on Tuesday each week).
For the 2024/25 academic year, transport is subsidised for students.
We currently operate routes from:
Each route has various pick-up points, with routes reviewed on an annual basis to accommodate each new cohort of students. Due to demand for places we can only offer one choice of route per child.
Each student will be asked to adhere to the Behaviour on College Buses policy when using college transport, and failure to do so may result in transport provision being removed.
The college encourages local students to walk, cycle and use public transport on their journey whenever possible. For parents who do wish to drop their child off by car, please note there is no waiting area on-site for cars and that Ashburn Road operates double-yellow lines, therefore we would ask that parents take consideration when dropping off and collecting your child, and be mindful of other road users. The college does have a number of disabled parking bays and we would ask that these remain clear for those who do need them.
Our purpose-built campus is set close to the town centre within easy walking or cycling distance from most residential areas, and is served by excellent local bus routes.
The location of SUTC makes it accessible from both the town centre and train station.
From Scarborough train station – 13 minutes
From York Place – 15 minutes

Cycling is one of the easiest ways to fit exercise into your daily routine, but it is also a form of transport. It can save you money, keep you fit and help the environment.
