Applying for a Place at Scarborough University Technical College

To apply for a place at Scarborough UTC please click here https://scarboroughutc.applicaa.com/13 and start your application.  You will see the following screen.  Please select which year group you are applying for.

The Parent Registration screen will appear.  Please make sure that you complete all sections.

When complete, please enter your email address, create a password and press the submit button.  You will then receive a confirmation email asking you to complete the application. Once you have completed all stages of the application, this will be submitted to our Admissions Team who will email you with further instructions and/or documentation needed for your application to proceed further.

Wherever possible we encourage all students and parents considering Scarborough UTC to attend an open event or book for a tour of the facilities prior to submitting your application.

All applicants will have an individual meeting with a member of the Senior Leadership Team to discuss aspirations and ensure that Scarborough UTC can support you in achieving these.  Conditional offers will be made following the application and interview process, and all successful applicants will be invited to an information event in the summer term.

Year 12 Process

Students who are interested in applying to attend Sixth Form will be asked to complete an online application form.

Once you have applied and your application has been accepted you will be invited along to a meeting where you will decide which A Levels and/or technical qualifications to study.

You will receive a conditional offer subject to examination results.

You will be invited to an induction event in July which will allow you to take part in tasters in your chosen subjects and take part in a range of activities to get a feel for life at Sixth Form @Scarborough UTC.

You will need to enroll to Sixth Form @Scarborough UTC as soon as possible on or after GCSE results day.  Please see our calendar for further information about times and dates for enrolment.

There will be an induction period as we welcome you to Scarborough UTC in September.

At the UTC we expect all students in Sixth Form on site for the whole day throughout the first half of the autumn term.

Once we are satisfied you can keep on top of the workload and are meeting expectations you earn the right to attend for just your lessons plus x 2 tutor periods plus assembly.  In other times you will be free to leave site.
