BUSINESS DRESS

Scarborough UTC is an educational environment that emulates the environment found within modern industry.  Learners and staff will dress in business wear as opposed to a school uniform or casual wear.

Year 9,10 & 11 learners will wear a suit of charcoal grey colour, white shirt and a Scarborough UTC tie.

UTC 00014

The dress code is designed as to prepare learners for work to achieve the following;

  • A sense of identity and pride in being part of the UTC
  • Reduces the opportunity for one-upmanship via designer clothing
  • Identifies the learner as being part of the UTC
  • Is practical for the activities to be participated in
