Year Six
Spring Term in Year 6
Class 13
The Spring term has been an incredibly short (and busy) one for all of us!
Some highlights have been:
Our trip to Bewerley Park, where it was fantastic to see how the children developed their independence, resilience and confidence...and their dancing skills at the disco!
We have learned about light, how it travels and how we see. Scalby school kindly lent us their light box, prisms and torches so we were able to investigate the light spectrum too.
We have enjoyed hockey and dance in PE. We didn't know we had so many people able to Samba! (The classes will swap over next half term.)
We have now finished our work on Rivers and had some superb quality homework presentations to conclude our work. Thanks to all of our families for their support with this.
We are looking forward to a probably even busier Summer term!
Class 14
Class 14 have had a fantastic term: they enjoyed the leap-a-thon; they used perspective to create World Book Day themed art; they have been perfecting their hockey skills by working on control when dribbling and passing and they have enjoyed experimenting with changing the colour and direction of light in Science.
